ACTIA Energy strengthens its presence in West Africa

ACTIA Energy en Afrique de l'Ouest

…to Accelerate Power Grid Modernization
As energy demand continues to grow rapidly across West Africa, ACTIA Energy is stepping up its commitment to the region by multiplying strategic engagements with local and institutional stakeholders. Recently, the company conducted prospecting missions in Dakar (Senegal) and Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) to present its technological solutions and deepen collaboration with grid operators and local authorities.

Dakar: addressing Senegal’s energy challenges

Dakar, the dynamic capital of Senegal, was selected as a key entry point to assess the country’s specific needs in terms of energy transition and power grid digitalization. During this mission, ACTIA Energy highlighted the importance of strengthening service continuity, integrating advanced monitoring technologies, and modernizing infrastructure to better anticipate incidents and optimize power flow management.

Discussions with institutional and economic decision-makers made it possible to identify concrete opportunities to adapt ACTIA Energy’s solutions to the realities of the Senegalese market, particularly in intelligent grid supervision and the securing of electrical infrastructure.

Abidjan: Positioning Côte d’Ivoire as a regional energy hub

Shortly after its mission in Dakar, ACTIA Energy traveled to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire’s main economic center, to reinforce its presence in a country that plays a strategic role in West Africa. The objective was to meet with institutions and key players in the power sector to exchange views on modernization challenges, grid reliability, and the digitalization of energy services.

In response to steadily rising electricity demand, the company presented tailored solutions designed to improve grid supervision, enhance resilience, and reduce service interruptions. These solutions include digitalization technologies, digital protection systems, and advanced connectivity solutions to optimize day-to-day operations.

An integrated approach: technology, collaboration and sustainability

These two missions are part of a broader internationalization strategy aimed at strengthening relationships with African territories. Organized with the support of Business France, the initiative seeks to:

  • Present ACTIA Energy’s technological offering adapted to the challenges of African power grids,
  • Identify sustainable partnership opportunities with public and private operators,
  • Actively contribute to the energy transition by delivering innovative solutions for smarter, more resilient grids.

ACTIA Energy’s approach combines over 40 years of technical expertise in smart electrical networks with strong local adaptability, ensuring tailor-made solutions for each African context.

Outlook for West Africa’s energy future

Through its missions in Dakar and Abidjan, ACTIA Energy reaffirms its ambition to become a long-term strategic partner for West African countries. By supporting the modernization of electrical infrastructure, the company helps to:

  • Strengthen access to reliable and sustainable energy,
  • Support local economic growth,
  • Foster the integration of digital technologies into power networks.

These actions reflect a vision centered on sustainability, technological innovation, and international collaboration, addressing both current and future needs of African energy markets.

“Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire are now emerging as essential strategic choices for our development in West Africa. We selected Dakar and Abidjan as ideal gateways to strengthen our regional presence and respond to the growing demand for power grid modernization.
These countries are visionary in their energy transition approach, already integrating a significant share of renewable energy into their mix and setting ambitious targets for 2030. It is precisely this dynamism and ambition that drives us to work closely with local stakeholders.”
