ACTIA partners with the NanoCar Race

ACTIA partners with the NanoCar Race, the first international race of molecule-cars. This original concept for a race is a real technological feat, which prestigious international universities have signed up for. Five teams will compete against each other in October at the closing of the 25th Science festival. Using a gold leaf as a track, unique molecules will be propulsed by an electrical current around the circuit. Both the circuit and the nano-cars (more than a billion times smaller than a car) will be placed inside a microscope like a tunnel, which is also unique. The race will be held at the Centre d'élaboration de matériaux et d'études structurales (CEMES) within the CNRS in Toulouse (France).
